Formed in Sheffield, England, in 1977, Def Leppard rose to prominence with hook-driven songs and ambitious arena production. Albums including Pyromania and Hysteria helped establish the band as one of rock's major acts; worldwide record sales have exceeded 100 million. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. Its enduring favorites include “Rock of Ages,” “Photograph,” “Hysteria” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”
The band's history also reflects remarkable resilience. Drummer Rick Allen continued performing after losing an arm in a 1984 car accident, a chapter that became central to the group's story. Def Leppard shows are known for full-scale lighting and video production, as well as singalong moments built around familiar choruses. The April 29 appearance is listed with Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts; specific set times and any additional performance details may be announced closer to the event.
Prices currently start around $120 for this major arena concert, with premium locations and packages potentially costing more. Prices and availability can change.
Desert Diamond Arena is an approximately 18,000-seat entertainment venue at 9400 West Maryland Avenue in Glendale's Westgate Entertainment District. Its two-level concourse layout serves lower-bowl, club-level, suite and upper-bowl seating, with Westgate restaurants and entertainment nearby for pre-show plans.
For a stage-facing view, lower-bowl center sections are generally the strongest choice, balancing proximity and perspective. Club seats and suites offer a more premium experience, while upper-bowl seats can be a value-conscious option. Upper-bowl corner sections are less desirable for viewers prioritizing a direct view of the stage.
Event parking is available in lots and structures around Westgate, but availability and fees vary by event. Arriving early can help with finding a space and navigating busy event traffic around Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue. Rideshare is another practical option, especially for avoiding post-show parking queues.
